On February 21-25, 2011, the Saint Lucia Development hosted a four-day focus group consultation at the Pastoral Center in Marisule, Gros-Islet. The objectives of the consultations are were (a) to identify gaps in the programmes, products and services of the SLDB; (b) to identify the expectations of major stakeholders and determine how best for the SLDB to respond and (c) to document the views, perspectives and expectations of major stakeholders on the operations, products and services offerings of the SLDB, in order to determine the strategic priorities of the Bank and its programmes over the next five years.
The consultations attracted stakeholders from all sectors being served by the SLDB i.e. Education, Housing and Construction, Agriculture and Fisheries, Tourism, Industry and Services. Mr. Wilbert King was the facilitator of the entire process.
The final consultation was held on March 04, 2011 to review the strategic priorities outlined for input into SLDB’s strategic plan.
